Dale, Sorry but i do not support oscar-5.x, i had too many issues with it on my own side (impossible to deploy a single cluster). BTW oscar-6.x is _not_ a beta (we deployed several clusters with it) but it is not either ready for production (we are still closing bugs that are open since many years). Please do not send wrong information on the mailing list saying it is a beta.
BTW, what do you mean by "after the compute nodes were imaged by using yume"? Yume is used only to create the image, not to actually push the image to the nodes, SystemImager is in charge on the node deployment. Many Yume bugs have been closed but there are only available in oscar-6.x. Sorry i cannot help more. It seems to me that oscar 6 is beta and I didn't want to jump into anything like that on this cluster. Plus, I have version 5.0 running on another cluster and wanted to keep things the same. The OS in question is RHEL 4.6 and I had to install ksh manually to the head-node and the compute nodes. I did that after the compute nodes were imaged by using yume. ~Dale -- Dale Schuster Systems Administrator Sierra Nevada Corporation Information Systems ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Oscar-users mailing list Oscar-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oscar-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ Oscar-users mailing list Oscar-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/oscar-users
