Hi all, I pushed new binary packages (both deb and RPM) for rhel-5-x86_64, rhel-5-i386, debian-4-i386, debian-4-x86_64, debian-5-x86_64 that should fix the problem. Those binary packages are in the "unstable" repositories. Note that i was not able to full test the modifications (i am currently traveling), therefore it may still be buggy. But if you can, please test this new version and let me know if it works or not (if not, please send me the logs).

SystemInstaller did not change much so it is very weird. I will do my best to fix the problem as soon as possible (very sorry for not fixing it before but i currently do not have a lot of time to work on OSCAR). Also, since the problem seems to be related to the GUI, you should be able to use the command line interface to create the image: as root, simply execute "build_oscar_image_cli" (this is an interactive command therefore make sure all the different parameters are correct). I let send a message both on oscar-devel and oscar-user when i will have a bug fix candidate. We also attempted to install 32 bit, but that didn't remedy anything.
