Thilo,

The list of RPMs changed between the different releases of CentOS so you cannot 
remove all the RPMs from rhel-5-i386 and rhel-5-x86_64.

You should also see in the archive that this problem is known and does not 
prevent one to create an image. The problem is due to historical bad choices, 
this is not the good time to address those issues (if you modify rhel-5-i386 
most certainly you will have issues when using rhel-5.0 versus rhel-5.3).
