Steve, Just with the first line, i can see that something is wrong on your system: you have a mismatch between some of the oscar-base RPMs since the db_type variable is not set in the /etc/oscar/oscar.conf file. If the variable is not set, OSCAR cannot work correctly.
Can you give me the version of all the oscar-base* RPMs installed on your system?
