Well, it depends...
What is the goal? Is it building bleeding edge cluster or
is it producing result out of the cluster? If you are experienced
cluster builder and you make it your business to do so, then
experimenting with the latest and greatest is good. But if you
are to use cluster for computational purpose, maybe that's
something you should leave for developers.
While you are one rev behind (which you really are not) I doubt
there is an advantage can't be compensated by having extra node.
After all, a node is much cheaper than solving problem that you
can't solve by yourself.
