Hi Wahaj,
I am assuming you get this error after it completes the rsync and reboots as you have mentioned 'the OS install perfectly'. Its an easy fix this: When your node/virtual machine is booting up and grub comes press the following e - to edit the entry then e to edit the second line which is the kernel /vmlin.... line and add enforcing=0 at the end press enter and then b (for boot) this should allow the node to boot in. Then log in to the node and edit the following file: /boot/grub/grub.conf and add the same enforcing=0 at the end of the kernel line. This is for nodes in which the OS is already installed. For nodes you are about to image just edit the grub file in the image so the correct one is pushed out. Hope this helps Ibad ________________________________________ From: Malik Wahaj Ahmed . Date: Thu, 8 Jul 2010 16:23:54 +0600 Hello, I am installing OSCAR 5.01 on a virtual machine. My server installation is completed but when in step 6 i try to Setup Network Boot my other client machine which is also on a virtual machine starts the OS install perfectly but after throwing a lot of output on the screen it gives the following error: Creating root device Mounting root filesystem mount: error 6 mounting ext3 mount: error 2 mounting none Switching to new root switchroot: mount failed: 22 umount /initrd/dev failed: 2 Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! I have triede few solutions which did not helped me they are as follows: 1.Created and Modified the initrd.img file (May be i have done it wrongly) 2. Modified the SCSI.disk file again and again but this was of no use. Can someone help me ? ________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection.
