Hi!
Last year I installed OSCAR 5.1rc on a few machines using Fedora 8. I ran
into troubles at Step 7, but someone else helped me. (You might even find my
emails about it in the archives) Unfortunately I still don't know exactly
what they did. I'm actually a chemist, - not a super smart sys admin. ;-)
Perhaps this will be of some use to you, since the author used similar
versions:

Also check the torque and maui home pages if you run into trouble later.
But the good news is that it *can be done*! Don't become discouraged!
