Hello,
I am running oscar 6.1.1-1 on a Ubuntu 10.4.3 64bit server, now every
15minutes the following script seems to run
/var/log/syslog
Aug 17 16:15:01 ***** CRON[2169]: (root) CMD (env USER=root
/opt/sync_files/bin/sync_files >/dev/null 2>&1)
Immediately after i see 100's of processes spawning like follows,
root 27583 0.0 0.0 26600 5692 ? Ss 16:16 0:00 python
/usr/bin/cexec -f /tmp/serverip.7027311
--pipe
echo ALIVE
Inside /tmp each process seems to generate a file containing the following
cluster oscar_cluster {
servername:servername
}
This spawning of python processes will continue until all the memory is
gone and then inevitably the system starts crashing out. Could someone
shed some light on the matter? For the moment i have just changed the
permissions on the script sync_files to 644 so that it does not run
Thanks
Simon
