Hello,
I am trying to install OSCAR 6.1.x on CentOS 5.6. When oscar_wizard is
installing the packages, I always encounter the following message
--> Missing Dependency: libtorque.so.0()(64bit) is needed by package
pbs_python-2.9.4-3.x86_64
I read somewhere that I should try to use "unstable OSCAR", so I do the
following:
• Install (fresh) CentOS 5.6
• Add /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-x86_64-OSCAR-unstable.repo
• yum update
• yum install oscar
• oscar-config --setup-distro centos-5-x86_64
• oscar-config --bootstrap
Here I got an error message:
• ERROR: Impossible to install the following core OPKGs (server
side): c3 at /usr/bin/oscar-config line 99
It seems that c3-profiled-4.0.1-5.noarch.rpm in NOT in the "unstable" repo, so
I download the rpm from http://bison.csm.ornl.gov/repos/rhel-5-x86_64/
and manually install it.
• download c3-profiled-4.0.1-5.noarch.rpm from
http://bison.csm.ornl.gov/repos/rhel-5-x86_64/
• yum install c3-profiled-4.0.1-5.noarch.rpm --nogpgcheck
After that, I run oscar-config --bootstrap again and it is successful.
So I continue....
• system-sanity
• oscar_wizard install
When the wizard begins to install packages, I again get the error message
• pbs_python-2.9.4-3.x86_64 from unstable_rhel-5-x86_64 has
depsolving problems
• --> Missing Dependency: libtorque.so.0()(64bit) is needed
by package pbs_python-2.9.4-3.x86_64 (unstable_rhel-5-x86_64)
What should I do now to resolve this dependency problem?
Cheers
Pektiong
