Costel,

If you want to test, you can update the /etc/oscar/supported_distros.txt and
replace the oscar:http://official url with
http://olivier.lahaye1.free.fr/OSCAR/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/

alternative method: after the bootstrapping:

in /tftpboot/oscar/rhel-6-x86_64.url, replace the official url with
http://olivier.lahaye1.free.fr/OSCAR/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/ Note that
the url is ofter rewritten. The prefered method is the 1st one.

So:
1: rpm -Uvh
http://olivier.lahaye1.free.fr/OSCAR/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/oscar-release-6.1.2r9625-1.noarch.rpm
2: yum install oscar
3: vim /etc/oscar/supported_distros.txt
4: oscar-config --setup-distro centos-6-x86_64
5: verify that /tftpboot/oscar/rhel-6-x86_64.url contains the correct url
6: oscar-config --bootstrap
7: oscar_wizard -d install
And so on.

WARNING: This repo is not official and sometimes it's broken. be warned of that
when using it for testing.

Best regards,

Olivier.

repository.

Hi DongInn,

I would like to ask you if you can force a sync of the repositories in order to
update the http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/
<http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/%20> .
It looks like the packages built by Olivier on last Friday are not available
yet.

Best Regards,
Costel

Hi,

It looks good! I will give it a try as soon as possible. I checked and the last
packages are not yet available into the repository so I need to wait for the
repos to be synchronized anyway.

If I understand well I need to remove oscar-base and the other packages that I
installed during my tests.
yum -y install oscar
should install them all again.

I will let you know how it works.

Best Regards,
Costel SEITAN

Hi,

I've build by hand most missing packages hopefully (flamthrower, atftp,
udpcast, modules-oscar (I found that the build tree seems to be in the midle of
a big change), openmpi-oscar-modulefile, blcr*, ...).

Before starting, check that the
http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/
<http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/%20>
repository contains all the latest packages (check for blcr-testsuite for
example)

1/ rpm -Uvh
http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/repos/unstable/rhel-6-x86_64/oscar-release-6.1.2r9625-1.noarch.rpm
 [OK]

2/ rpm -Uvh
http://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/fedora/epel//6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm<http://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/fedora/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm>
 [OK]

3/ yum make cache [OK]

4/ yum -y install oscar [OK]

5/ oscar-config --setup-distro centos-6-x86_64 [OK]

6/ oscar-config --bootstrap [OK]

7/ oscar_wizard -d install [OK]

8/ STEP1: Selected experimental and checked:
 - apitest
 - base
 - c3
 - oda
 - sc3
 - sis
 - switcher
 - sync-files
 - yume
 - blcr
 - ganglia
 - jobmonarch
 - maui
 - mtaconfig
 - netbootmgr
 - ntpconfig
 - openmpi
 - torque
=> Success [OK]

STEP2: Configure selected oscar packages
- Ganglia: [OK]
- jobmonarch (checked pbs [OK]
- ntpconfig: [OK]
- sis [OK]
- switcher [OK]
- torque: [OK]
- Done => Step 2 Completed successfully [OK]

STEP3: Install oscar server packages [OK]
=Done Successfully installed oscar server.

STEP 4: Build OSCAR client image: [IN PROGRESS]

Happy testing,

Best regards,

Olivier.
