Costel,

Thanks a lot for your support and feedback.

If your fix was to setup the ssh key, then, you may had one part of the fix in
the opkg-base if my memory is correct, but the c3.conf with dead host bug
prevents to correctly update the nodes at this point. There is also a comment
in the code replacing sc3 with c3 because of an issue (which need testing since
to see if it's still valid) which result in the images not updated (thus
deploying nodes after step 6 result in a system with old nodes that are more up
to date (updated with c3) than new ones (using non-updated image).

I'm aware of that and once fixed, many idssues like the ones you had will be
fixed.

As for SystemImager, I'm greatly progressing:
- The initrd boots
- udev starts and modprobe all the hardware and is able to load firmwares.
- modules-init-tools have been replaced with kmod (modprobe)
- Now, I'm stuck with new dhclient. I've updated paths and configs, but there
are still some small issues. I'm near a full working system with no need to
modprobe.

I've discovered that udev-183 is the last standalone udev. Now, udev is part of
systemd.....Thus, if we need to update udev, we'll have to replace udev with
systemd build. Note that we can still run udev without systemd; only the build
process will require to build systemd. Though, I think that in a near future,
we'll need to run systemd. Anyway, for now, I'm concentrating on the current
systemimager and it should work soon.

Best regards,

Olivier.

Objet : Re: [Oscar-users] RE : Oscar Test Cluster Setup

Hi Olivier,

Do not bother anymore about the scheduler issues. I fixed it.
I did not yet updated Oscar to the last version so probably
I do not have the version containing the fix you added. Sorry for this.

I added the master host key to ~/.ssh/known_hosts of the users and it works now.
I got my .out and .err files in the working dir.

The torque tests still fails but it is connected to blcr:
Failed to initialize BLCR.: Function not implemented
pbsdsh(): error 17000 on spawn
pbsdsh(): error 17000 on spawn
..

However my app works like a charm and I am very happy with what I setup till
now. :)

I will update OSCAR when blcr is ready. Anyway it is not an issue right now for
me, at least, no emergency.

Thank you for this very rich exchange we had during the last weeks and good
luck with systemimager!
I will continue to follow-up the list for further updates.

Best Regards,
Costel
