Hello opensource.com friends,

We'd like to get your feedback on a something new we're trying. You
may have seen the following article today:

By the numbers: Open source highlights from May
http://opensource.com/life/13/6/open-source-highlights-may

which is a monthly recap of some of the things that happened on the
site last month. We would like to make this a monthly posting, but
want to make it useful. Can you help us?

Did you find it useful?

Yes. Very useful. Saw a few articles that I had missed.

Was there anything missing that you expected?
Well, the mention of 47 articles would have been more useful if it was a
link to a TOC of those articles. I'm sure I'm just a few clicks away
from that information, but please make it easier for me. I'm pretty sure
I missed some of those articles.

Is it too much info?

No. I know it's just a highlights post, so it's a balancing act between
information junkies like me, and normal people, but I think it's
probably just about right.

What did you like about it?

We trust OpenSource.com to curate useful information from the firehose,
so I feel like we can trust a summary of what was really important for
the month. I look forward to this being a regular feature, since I'm
pretty sure I always miss *something* that goes past on the site.

Is there anything that you didn't like about it?

Nothing comes to mind, but I'll let you know.

What about the style?

It could have just been a bullet list, but you've injected a
conversational style and made it more approachable. I liked it.

If you could give this a title, what would it be?

"By the numbers" implies to me that there's going to be some stats as a
major component of the article, and there weren't other than "top 5".
Something more along the lines of "What did I miss?" or "Month in
review" would be more apropos to the content.
