Dear community,
A code push for our "Sprint 4" deployment is scheduled for Thursday,
December 3, 2015 at 7:30 UTC (2:30 am ET / *Wed* 11:30 pm PT). Below is
a list of the items we are pushing out.
During the code push, caching should still serve pages to visitors.
Community members will not be able to log in during the deployment. We
anticipate the deployment to last approximately 30 minutes.
The biggest change that all of you need to be aware of is that your
badges will no longer appear in the comments. We made some improvements
to the points and badge system and I made the decision to help us
streamline managing multiple images for badges. All badges will continue
to appear on your user profile.
The 5-star rating system on articles is being replaced by a "thumbs-up"
system.
You will also notice in your user profile, we are added optional fields
for shipping address and t-shirt size. Hint hint, you may consider
filling those out after the code push ;)

RHOSDC-6 - Use CKEditor as WYSIWYG plugin
Backend development to switch the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor, which is
causing problems with parsing certain HTLM elements, to the CK Editor.
In addition to this, we are changing the image management to IMCE.
RHOSDC-10 - Large blank space on events
Bug in events.
RHOSDC-17 - Overhaul and update points and badge system for the OSDC
community
Fix a few existing bugs and adding a few enhancements to improve
community engagement with badges.
RHOSDC-18 - Additional fields on user profile
Adding in address, t-shirt size, and twitter handle fields.
RHOSDC-19 - Login / comment redirect issue
Bug reported by users on logging in for comments and not getting back to
the right page.
RHOSDC-22 - Secure vs non-secure links throughout OSDC environment
Will make the site use https and can reduce duplicate content issues.
RHOSDC-23 - Implement Memcached to improve performance
Backend improvement that will reduce the amount of database calls per
page view request.
RHOSDC-24 - Replace 5-star rating with thumbs up
Replace 5-star module.
RHOSDC-25 - Text on polls is too light
RHOSDC-39 - Incorrect link in article template
fixed link for CC licensing
RHOSDC-41 - private option for author drafts
An option to enter private content and maintain private state before
sending to editorial team for review
RHOSDC-43 - Add license info to resource pages
Adding the CC license field to resources
RHOSDC-44 - Remove Pinterest icon from social media widget and footer
RHOSDC-45 - Update masthead for desktop and mobile site
update endorsement branding
RHOSDC-46 - Remove spam entries from webform
