If you are damn smart and exceptional they dont even check your age, At 12 you can enter Oxford. But not here. Some time ago we have express classes, if you are smart, you skip standard 2 and standard 5 and go straight to final years. I am saying that if someone has proven to secure some branding in his field, how can he be helped right away to help the nation? Isn't it strange that such a person still has to earn his own keep after achieving an 'Olympic medal' in cyberspace? If we have not arrived at such a reward scheme isn't it time to create one? If no one in the world has done so, why not be the first to start it? If the hotmail inventor was Malaysian how would his application succeed via any of such grants? would he succeed to get MOSTI or DAGS grants? What about Google or Yahoo if they were to start here in Malaysia instead of Stanford?  I am sure one day after many years some smart new Minister is going to blast us with such rhetorics. At one time i rebuted Datuk Saifudin, the Dep Minister (Entrpreneur ministry i think) saying that the new KPI to ensure quality for ICT is that the candidate companies must be at least 5 pax. I told him in a full hall in PWTC that his advice is misplaced if he was to refer to those billionaire dotcoms when they started. None of them have more than 4 pax when they started. Year in year out, now is 3rd year i started ADempiere in Kuang, the rakyat is going to laugh this strange story that the man from Kuang keeps repeating - that he is not a product of anything but failures and frustrations, while the agencies can spend tons of money for expensive functions, payroll and gifts. If those agencies do not meet their KPIs such as producing an innovative giant in due time, we may not have any more goats to farm even. Think about it. Please help me to help you all.
