I also wonder what is the policy & SOP ()Standard Operation Procedure) for a 'local' big organization, when they get hit by a virus? When working for a dot-com in HK, in the early 2000, the office got hit by a virus. There were about 70-80 desktops, notebooks in the office. I remember the sysadmin team of 6 people spent the whole night, about 10 hrs, going thru all the PCs, managers had to leave their laptops behind, to be 'cleaned'. It was 60 man hrs of work, by the sysadmin guys but users productivity were not affected, as it was done at night. I wonder what they do here, especially when a major organisation may have 100's of PCs.? The few of us that use Macs, I was in the development team, the others were the graphics & design people, were unaffected. No linux desktops as far as I know. Servers were 'big iron', mostly Solaris, so were OK.
