One good way to check if the specific ISP in Malaysia get IP transit (peering) via Global Transit (www.globaltransit.net) is to perform traceroute:
- In Linux, the command is traceroute <specific domain name or IP address); eg: "traceroute www.google.com" - or in Linux, the command is mtr <specific domain name or IP address); eg: "mtr www.google.com" - In M$ Windows, the command is tracert <specific domain name or IP address); eg: "tracert www.google.com" --> then in the traceroute results, it will show ((the intermediate hops) whether the packet being transferred via Global Transit Do take note that ISPs does peering with multiple upstreams, thus the results may differ between ISPs and may also differs at different time traceroute being performed.
