with respect to the no-show by oracle. this is one of the reason why my team are happy that we dont do java, and we are now trying to port anything related to java and mysql to something else. which includes cobbling together a business intelligence software based on php, javascript and python.
the first thing that went out was openoffice.org as a background headless service. we have replaced with gnumeric. next on the list is the etl engine. this will probably be the hardest. but it is something that we have to do. see my ramblings about a business intelligence software on python : http://software.krimnet.com/phyton/business-intelligence-with-phyton.htm i wonder with the uncertainty regarding java / mysql whether now is a good time to invest and start a truly open source erp where everything is open source (including the programming language). congrats and many thanks to the core osdc team and mdec for the mosc 2010. you have proven to never give up and kept on fighting. -- Join Open Source Developers Club Malaysia http://www.osdc.my/ Facebook Fan page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=98685301577 http://www.facebook.com/OSDC.my You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OSDC.my Mailing List" group.
