Microsoft lost the mobile -top or whatever you call it... Their server market share is eroding... They also is losing the web desk-top, and they know it.
This is an act of desperation, its a tool to lock you in.. and most people will steer clear of it. However there will always be moths (insect...) drawn to the light....
