You could put your own kernel if you want, you can put your own logo (branding) if you want, you could put your own window manager that you're loved to. It's easy.
Suse Studio is a distro maker. You start (at a very beginner distro maker) with SUSE. If you have any other Repositories, you can add to it. If you have RED Hat Enterprise Linux, you could make itinto your newbie distro. You can have SUSE if you choose their DEFAULT REPOSITORIES. Go ahead, try your own if you are a professional distro maker.
