Salam... Pertama sekali, saya ingin mengucapkan tahniah di atas MOSC 2010. Setelah membaca mailing list osdc.my, saya tergerak untuk memikirkan cara-cara untuk membantu komuniti terutama dari segi kewangan. Jadi saya mencadangkan agar kite menubuhkan koperasi OSDC.my (atau nama yang lain) supaya komuniti-komuniti OSS di Malaysia dapat bergiat dengan lebih aktif lagi dengan kewujudan koperasi ini. Selain itu, Cik Najah sangat arif di dalam bidang ini.
Jika tak silap saya, untuk menubuhkan koperasi perlukan minimum 50 orang. sekiranya setiap ahli menyumbang RM 20, jadi modal permulaan untuk koperasi adalah RM1000.00. Untuk permulaan saya rasa kita boleh mengadakan bengkel-bengkel OSS seperti yang telah dilakukan saudara Hidzwan (e1) yang sering mendapat sambutan. Untung bersih (setelah tolak kos upah dan sebagainya) kita boleh masukkan ke dalam akaun koperasi. Selain bengkel, kita juga boleh buat jualan-jualan seperti yang dilakukan oleh rakan Jom Linux (Digide Technology Enterprise) yang menjual CD Ubuntu dan aksesori-aksesori yang berkaitan dengan OSS. Ini juga dapat memudahkan dan menggalakkan pengguna linux untuk mempromosikan OSS lagi. Oleh itu, saya perlukan pendapat kalian untuk meneruskan projek ini.
