Salam, I have one issue here. What you want to research is a application function. NS2 deal with Network Layers. Two different objective.
You may need to use software that simulate the users usage of the application like keyin username and password and benchmark the overall performance. You can try OpenSTA (never used it). Im used to LoadRunner (need to buy it). http://www.opensta.org/ My understanding may be different.
