imho,

kostem can be the platform for freelancers to step up their business.

with kostem, freelancers and sme, can maintain their independence and work
on what they love doing,
while kostem when it is mature enough can provide the facilities,
promotions, marketing, accounting, administration, project financing, tender
submissions, etc

think of kostem as the administrative overheads, while all the operational
business are conducted by the members (either as freelancers or sme). within
this eco-system, kostem can be the network to facilitate, regulate, monitor
and enforcer for intra-business / intra-activities / joint ventures /
sub-contracts between the freelancers and sme, and any external party.

representing an sme, i would love to be able to go into the kostem knowledge
base, submit a rfp for specialist services, look at the references from the
proposer, then using a template conclude on a contract. something like this

members should take the opportunity to use kostem to further broaden their
range of services by utilisting other expertise within kostem, and also to
go for new markets / products / services.

if in your mind, you think kostem will be your competitor, then yes, it will
be your competitor.

but if you want to do more than what you are capable of, then kostem would
want to be the first organisation to listen to you.

i would really want to see kostem that is capable of bringing out the best
from its members and representing them to the external world.

we should be looking beyond diskaun / pinjaman / insuran - we should be
looking at the bigger mission which is of generating more income for its
members.
