With due respect i don't see the point in name meaning in helping to get money (but i agree with Eric's earlier branding strategy). AFAIK money respects one and only one rule, "How fast can we get our money back?", meaning viability of your business plan, meaning paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. After that, screaming, screaming, screaming <- to defend your paper of course in front of a few goofballs who has no idea of anything before the dollar sign.

In fact, this is the word I used when I told ppl about OSDC, and I almost forget the C, is actually "club".

Anyway, changing the C to "Committee" can in fact build the public confidence on us. For an example, the MOSC, sponsors will be more willing to channel a huge amount of money into the event if it is organized by a committee of IT professionals rather than channeling the money into a "Club" which giving them an impression that "Club" is something like a group of professionals hang around for leisure during free time only.

So it would strongly agree with the changes of the word C.
