NO, the Z series have a long tradition. It started 40 years ago as system 360. And it is said the proprietary OS have some of their code since that time, and it is said that it can runs program written since then. Imagine, during 1960's they have invented Paravirtualization, and a series of stuff that is way ahead of their competition during that time.
