[0]After Red Hat's 2nd quarter report, well, insert(&mouth, FOOT); is all I have to say. Okay, okay, the hubris of a Linux zealot aside, the numbers look pretty good. Revenue for the quarter was $28 million, with net income at $3 million. You'd think SCO's blathering would have damaged them, but they're actually up the last couple of quarters after posting some net losses in previous quarters." Kudos to Red Hat. They must be doing something right. [0]Popular Enterprises, LLC., an Orlando, Florida based cybersquatting so-called 'search services' company, has [1]filed a lawsuit in Orlando federal court against VeriSign, Inc. over VeriSign's controversial SiteFinder 'service.' While PopularEnterprises has had a dodgy history of buying up thousands of expired domain names and redirecting them to its [2]Netster.com commercial "search services" site, the lawsuit is most likely a good thing, as it provides one more avenue to pursue in getting VeriSign to terminate [3]SiteFinder. According to the lawsuit, the company contends alleges antitrust violations, unfair competition and violations of the Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. It asks the court to order VeriSign to put a halt to the service. VeriSign spokesperson Brian O'Shaughnessy said the company has not yet seen the lawsuit and that it doesn't comment on pending litigation." The goal is 2005, and the working title is Spamelot (and not Spamalot, contrary to what an [6]AP wire claims). The directions tout the range as being 10 miles given line of sight. We've had other stories about [2]building antennas, but I think these are cooler because of their focused nature, but a Primestar dish is a little tougher to locate than a Pringles can or a floppy disk. It seems a [0]group of people are suing Apple, Dell, Gateway, HP, and others for misleading consumers about hard disk sizes. About time someone spoke up and said '1000 MB != 1 GB'" It's not much of a mystery to anyone who's up on industry practices, but it's similar to the way graphic displays are sized, cereal boxes are filled, and so on.
