carrying [1] a wire story (free reg. required, yadda) reporting that
the Supreme Court of Washington state ruled today that a warrant is
required by police to use GPS tracking devices to track suspects. A
warrant actually was obtained in the case at hand, but the prosecutors
argued that they hadn't really needed one, and they lost on this point.

exactly who would be responsible for keeping track of who is and isn't

Disney Completes Dali Animation

Salvador Dali animation coming out of Disney Studios. It seems that in
1946, Walt Disney and Dali teamed up on a short film called Destino.
The film was shelved for money reason, and now, 57 years later, Disney
animators has finished what Dali started. The six minute film will be
shown in theaters next year before a Disney feature film. The remnants
of the aborted film include 150 storyboards, drawings and paintings,
which have sat for the last half-century in the Disney vaults. Notably,
some of the project was modeled on the animation program Maya. An
interesting quote from the article, Dali describes Walt Disney as one
of America's greatest surrealists."

This release of our secure VNC application marks a change in our
software distribution policy. The installation is now catered for using
the ZeroG installer, providing distributions for Linux and Windows with
and without the Java 1.4.2 VM. This release also sees the inclusion of
a number of useful configuration options. These include the execution
of commands on connect/disconnect allowing the user to start/stop their
VNC server remotely, and predefined settings for low/high bandwidth
connections.

features in shapefiles and zoom to the selected set. Features can be
selected by dragging the mouse or from the attribute table (thanks to
Marco). Quantum GIS (QGIS) is designed to be a Geographic Information
System (GIS) built for Linux/Unix. QGIS will offer support for vector
and raster formats. The other major change is the Identify function now
returns all features within the search radius and displays them in a
tree view. Linux and FreeBSD binaries are available in the download
area. Note - binaries are provided with and without PostgreSQL support.
For PostgreSQL support, choose the
qgis-0.0.12-platform_postgres_bin.tar.gz. You must have the appropriate
