Kernel debugging is a feature of the kernel, not PTXdist. Run "ptxdist kernelconfig" to enable this feature in the kernel's config. If you change something in the kernel's source, you must PTXdist tell, it must re-compile it. $ ptxdist drop kernel compile $ ptxdist targetinstall kernel use the new <platform>/images/linuximage to boot your target. Do not use "ptxdist clean" until you saved your changes at the sources into a patch or similar. Everything would be lost.
