The secret behind this behaviour is the "depends on BROKEN" in its menu entry.

Run "ptxdist menuconfig" and navigate to
PTXdist Options --->
[*] support packets known to be broken
But be warned: don't expect ffmpeg to build and work...its marked as broken.
