I don't really think there would be a viable commercial case to be
made for selling support for a product like this. It is very different
(in scope and complexity) to a RDBMS or an application server.

the cause why i ask this maybe silly questions is: that i don't want to
code stuff for asdt if fdt has it already
and someday (in near future) release the source. why should i waste my
time in that case?
i would be _really_ happy if any powerflasher can answer something like:
it will never go opensource
it certainly will go opensource in the future
