Just a note, the PHP browser suggestion
was put in there because Eclipse 3.1 had not been released at the time of
writing the tutorial. Version 3.0 did
not include the default web browser as a feature.

Debug/Trace Tools
the phpbrowser was just a suggestion we put in the
tutorial so you could have the admintool loaded in Eclipse, but it's not a
requirement by any means. It just worked, and at the time, I didn't
realize eclipse had a browser there.
I'm actually working on loading other plugins to the
admintool and have been testing with Pablo (creator of FlashInspector).
I've enjoyed using both Pablo's and the admintool together. As for these
tools showing previews, that's not their purpose really. Their job is
remote debugging.

Hi,
after checking out Flashout, LuminicBox and Admintool i'm kinda
indecisive of what to use, Admintool is more of a tool in runtime,
but nevertheless traces etc.
For some of the above mentioned, it says that you need to install
the phpEclipse plugin to use the included browser. in eclipse 3.1
there's already a browser available in:
window->Showview->basic->internal webbrowser.
is there any reason why someone should use the phpeclipse browser
instead (as most features dont work for eclipse 3.1) ?
does the phpeclipse browser support tabbed browsing ?
so far i like luminicbox and admintool the most, but they got no
preview though. the only reason i make use of flashout is actually
its preview feature so there's no need to switch apps while testing.
i know this is more of a 'best pratices' thing.
let me know what you all think

David
