hmmm, don't think you're right there, make a png of some text on a transparent bg, then compare the exported results with and without the checkbox ticked. you should see that it's sharp without "allow smoothing" checked.....

I don't think unchecking Allow Smoothing actually works...
Try this in the Flash IDE: Import a PNG, and scale it to 200%, and run
it with Allow Smoothing checked, and then run it again with Allow
Smoothing unchecked...for me it is smoothed/blurred both ways.
