As there is no published API for flash 8, and we can now create flash 8 content using MTASC it makes sense for me to have an API page on the wiki. Just like it makes sense to have a page for the AMF. Quite a few of us have projects in the works which will rely on flash 8's speed and features. Interest in flash 8 is high at the moment. MTASC has the advantage of letting people try out these features now. This is good for open source flash as it will increase MTASC usage. The word will spread you don't need flash mx 2006 (or whatever it will be called) to author flash 8, you can do it with MTASC. When macromedia publishes the API i think perhaps the page should be removed, but until then the wiki makes a fine home.
