Basically, he wants to distribute the flash player with a linux
desktop which has some swfs he wrote. I am assuming they may not
always have internet connectivity, so forcing the user to download and
install is not an option, he wants to pre-load the flash player.
But the response he got from macromedia, basically said he is
forbidden to install the flash player on _ANY_ linux system at all:

"GNU/Linux is considered as an embedded version of Linux, and we do
not license users to install the player on an un-supported Operating
System"

Note that GNU/Linux is a generic term that applies to ALL
distributions of linux. Maybe it would be helpful if emi could post
who exactly at macromedia gave him this obviously wrong information.
He just said "macromedia customer service," and I'm not sure how they
work, maybe they don't sign emails with an actual person's name.
