What a bit of ironic timing. Several months ago I wrote an AS XML-RPC client that I released as open source. Since I just have the downloads and documentation on my own site, it's not really as open for collaboration as I would like.
A couple of days ago I was thinking "I've been following the OS Flash site/list since it started. I ought to send an email to the OS Flash list and find out if this would be an appropriate project to host on OSFlash". So I guess I'm asking. Most of the OSFlash projects are developer tools, e.g. MTASC, SWFMill. Obviously there are some that are more along the lines of ActionScript code like ActionStep and ARP -- but those seem "bigger" in my mind than just an XML-RPC client. (Maybe the project seems less significant to me because I wrote it myself--but all those other projects are written by you mythical Flash wizards =) So anyway, do you think that a set of ActionScript classes that come together to provide some common functionality (in this case, an XML-RPC client) is something that is appropriate be hosted on the OSFlash site? I think at this point having its own mailing list might be overkill, but having a SVN repository would be nice, I guess. Any thoughts? Oh, by the way, you can see the current home of the project at this page: http://probertson.com/projects/xmlrpc/ And also, I don't mean to detract from Matt's request at all. This really is something I've been thinking of asking about for a while, and I just hadn't gotten around to asking it yet.
