Was looking over AsUnit and was curious about GUI unit Testing. As I understand AsUnit, it doesn't really have a way to test whether a component drew correctly on stage, but focuses more on whether classes output specific responses. I was thinking that the new bitMapData functionality of Flash 8 could make screen output comparisons possible (and may have been done already in Director), so that, for example, I could tell whether a combo box was still able to produce the drop down or even showed up at all. I have not used this process before but I have heard descriptions of some Adobe product being tested by comparing, pixel by pixel, before and after screen shots (before and after a nightly build).
