not yet, im keeping my eyes on blackdown and IBM :) confusingly enough, my main reason wasnt because of java 1.5, it was because im really familiar with debian and didnt want to spend a long time reading about how to transfer my knowledge to OSX's particular flavour of BSD.
Also I found it really dissapointing that Apple effectively want me to pay $100 just to run java 1.5 (although i have read you can get it running on panther, but you need an install from a tiger machine to do it.) also i read this article http://www.anandtech.com/mac/showdoc.aspx?i=2520 which made me reconsider the suitability of using OSX to perform testing of any server applications im developing. so, after balancing my desires and needs, debian won. i love debian :) martin Dan Shryock wrote: > Is there actually a ppc linux port for java 1.5? > > On 9/30/05, Martin Wood <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >>tell me about it...for me that was the final straw, iBook say hello to >>debian :) >> >>Wade Arnold wrote: >> >>>Apple sucks....
