not yet, im keeping my eyes on blackdown and IBM :)

confusingly enough, my main reason wasnt because of java 1.5, it was 
because im really familiar with debian and didnt want to spend a long 
time reading about how to transfer my knowledge to OSX's particular 
flavour of BSD.

Also I found it really dissapointing that Apple effectively want me to 
pay $100 just to run java 1.5 (although i have read you can get it 
running on panther, but you need an install from a tiger machine to do it.)

which made me reconsider the suitability of using OSX to perform testing 
of any server applications im developing.

so, after balancing my desires and needs, debian won.

i love debian :)
