Nicolas those features are in AVM2 not in VM?

So your new language ISNT able to access them now or any time soon right or
are you saying you can access these AVM2 features from your new language
running in VM...

Well it depends on what you call a "feature".
IMHO :
- refactored APIs is a feature
- speed improvement is a feature
- runtime error handling is a feature
So yes theres a lot of new features in AVM2, which are worth targeting.
