Hi guys,

I've decided to bite the bullet and rewrite the newsflash project from
the ground up in AS3 (especially since E4X makes things so much easier)
rather than trying to clean up and structure some extremely dodgy AS1
code. So if anyone feels like pitching in the first thing on the to-do
list is a generic XML parser on which we can built support for the
various RSS and ATOM specs. Once those base classes are in place my plan
is to start using them to build a number of applications (desktop RSS
reader, screensaver, news aggregator, widgets etc.)

If you have any thoughts on what you would like to see in the API do let
me know! ;) I won't have much spare time to work on the project in the
next two weeks or so but thought I'd announce it now to start getting
some additional feedback. Thanks!

- Peter
