Hi Igor, > Hello Till, > > TS> - Speed. SourceForge can be so slow it _really_ hurts. > > Probably because a lot of projects.
I guess so, but it gets in the way and slows projects down because people can't fetch the changes from the repository way too often for my taste. > > TS> - Subversion. IMHO, CVS is really outdated > > I'm lag behind and use CVS;( I won't try to convert you here, but you should really try it out - if only to be able to switch to a much better repository provider like sourcesecure [1] (which is free for open source flash projects and provides you with superb support by Aral Balkan et al). Also, If you're using a tool like TortoiseCVS, you should totally try TortoiseSVN [2] or, if you're working in Eclipse, the Subclipse plugin [3]. But if you want to stay with CVS anyway, then you should consider hosting your project on tigris.org. They provide both Subversion and CVS hosting, better issue tracking, and better speed. > > TS> it allows to have a good overview of the state of things. > > I absolutely agree with you. > Also would like to get section on osflash, but I don't know as it to > make;) > If you decide to host the project on osflash.org, check out the relevant section of the main page [4]. If, on the other hand, you only want to add an entry to the projects index on osflash.org, all you need to do is: - Get an account on osflash by filling out the register form [5]. - Spend some time in the playground to get up to speed with the wiki's syntax [6]. - Navigate to the projects index page [7]. - Edit the page and add your project. I guess you should add it to the "Actionscript" section where the other frameworks are, though I'd really like to see a "Frameworks" section. cheers, till [1] http://www.sourcesecure.co.uk/ [2] http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ [3] http://subclipse.tigris.org/ [4] http://osflash.org/#host_your_open_source_flash_project_on_osflash [5] http://osflash.org/osflash?do=register [6] http://osflash.org/wiki/playground [7] http://osflash.org/open_source_flash_projects _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
