I mean whats the advantage of using the FDT Ant task instead of using the one I've posted in my first post? For example does it make it possible to get compiling problems listed in the problems tab instead of the console window? If so I would give it a try! Sascha

If you meant : Do I need FDT Ant task to compile my swf, here is an answer : If you need to deploy your work, you definitively need a deploying tool. Ant is the de facto tool included in Eclipse to handle that work. So yes it definitively is. Dig in Ant, you'll anderstand. If you didn't meant that, could you rephrase it. Sorry.
