Nice to hear some positive words from you Mike. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mike Chambers Sent: 06 December 2005 17:44 To: Open Source Flash Mailing List Subject: Re: [osflash] Anyone seen the Macromedia.com site Lately?
Yes. We have been very supportive of open source Flash. This has included contributing code and projects to the open source community (more coming soon), evangelizing OsFlash.org at keynotes and conferences, and actively participating in the community. However, there seems to be the assumption developing that because we have not specifically blessed some projects, that somehow that lessens our commitment / support to the open source Flash community. We are very supportive of the open source Flash community. It adds value to the platform for developers, and introduces the platform to developers who might not otherwise be interested in checking it out. Of course, we are more excited / interested in some projects than others, but I would image the same holds true for most developers in the community. As has been mentioned a couple of times, we are actively working to resolve outstanding questions / issues, as well as provide a more formal communication on our thoughts on open source. However, as there are quite a few people involved in that discussion at Adobe, this will take some time. mike chambers [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tim Beynart wrote: > David Mendels spoke to a Flex class I attended in Boston a few weeks > ago, and was eloquent and supportive in his discussions of OS as it > relates to Macrodobe's goals.
