Are you using the v2 progress bar? I found that this component must be
load in an external SWF to make preloading work.

I'm preloading the v2 comps with this trick.

Hi

I'm trying to download AMFPHP last version from the site and it seems
that SF downloads are down.

Could anyone in this list provide me with the last version?

Many thanks in advance.

C.

Hi awflasher,

I am able to make some of the things you mention work.

I create six key frames in the timeline, one each at frame 1, 2, 3, 10,
20, and 30. I have these separated into two layers so that action script
is in separate first layer. Specifically the keyframes I have lay out
like this:

layer 1: actionScript 1, 3, 10, 20, 30
layer 2: labels 1, 2, 10, 20, 30

Frame one simply displays the loading message
Frame three checks for loading completed if not, it sends timeline
cursor back to frame 2

Classes are set to export in frame 10. If the component's classes are
not already there when the component itself is loaded, the components
will not work properly.

Dummy copies of the components (one of each type, combo, input text,
etc.) are placed on stage in frame 20. This frame is never shown to the
user, it simply causes the components to be loaded in frame 20, after
classes and before starting movie.

Frame 30 is the main frame. When the loading is completed, the logic on
frame 3 sends timeline cursor to frame 30 instead of frame 2. The
curtains open and the show begins*.

This setup works for me with v2 components. Note that I am testing with
Flash 8 authoring environment, I'm still working on the transition to
FAMES.

Hope this helps.
