Found a negative number error in my parser code, it seems to work OK. It should be fairly fast already, as it renders each Shape to a 3D texture. My PlaceObject should have better performance than the Flash player's, but GDI+ which I use for the curve rendering isn't very optimized.
I'd like to take the curve rendering to the next stage and implement it with pixel shaders (Loop/Blinn method), which should give magnificent performance comparable with Avalon HW accelerated vector graphics.
