One thing I appreciate FD the most is that the project has been actively supported. If you go to
http://www.flashdevelop.org/ You may surf around to find the answer for your questions. Many fixes are done in a short period of time, and I can always seen updates in their SVN repositories. I have asked my questions in ASDT, it usually takes a while before any answer comes back. So to answer your question, if you look into FlashDevelop's installation, in my box which is C:\Program Files\FlashDevelop\settings\languages You can find AS2.XML, which is the syntax highlight description file. You might want to tinker the file to get the highlight you want. - Tangent -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Stefan Richter Sent: Wednesday, December 28, 2005 12:22 PM To: 'Open Source Flash Mailing List' Subject: Re: [osflash] FlashDevelop: Project build and -mx parameter Ok got FD up and running. Great tool! MTASC syntax check with F7 works a treat but complains about stuff like this: _peopleSO = SharedObject.getRemote("people_so", nc.uri, false); _peopleSO.chatMsg = Delegate.create(this, onChatMsg); ----------------- type error SharedObject have no field chatMsg. I know that _peopleSO["chatMsg"] would probably fix this but this was the point I was trying to make earlier about FAME: please do not force me to re-write working code. Next question: Is it normal that I only see 1 error in the FD output panel even if my project contains several errors? Could somebody also explain the use of @mtasc to me, ie how do I use MTASC to compile an existing fla in FD? My fla contains 3 lines of code where I create an instance of a controller class and then kick everything into life using myclass.init(). Do I need to use main() or something? Why? I checked this post http://www.flashdevelop.org/community/viewtopic.php?t=48 but it doesn't go into much detail. Right now even with a @mtasc statement that appears to be valid to me (but what do I know) I get 'This class is invalid or does not include a @mtasc build command). One last thing: how can I change the syntax hilight colors, I'd like stuff like 'trace' to stand out a bit more. Any help appreciated.
