An XML-based file format will never be a direct threat to SWF. XML is much too verbose for this purpose. There still are a lot of people complaining about the fact that Flash files take too much time to load. I guess you know how compact the SWF format is, there is not much room for improvement here. However, I can imagine that there will be a lot of XAML generation tools, which then will convert XAML to SWF (e.g. take a look at Xamlon). Ralf
