Decoders are often free, it's usually the encoder that has to be licensed
(analog to Flash player vs Flash IDE).
I guess one could direct the users to On2's homepage for a free download -
at least on Windows, one could probably decode the video stream using
DirectShow as long as the decoder installed.


BTW, I looked at separating the player into a separate project, but sorry,
it just relies too much on the rest of the devkit. I'd have to extract 20-30
helper classes from the main lib, and I don't want to maintain 2 versions of
them all.
I'll let you know when I've posted the latest player improvements.
