APPlication de comptabilité:

1. What type of project was it? (eg. Online/off-line (eg.
CD-ROM/kiosk)/sometimes-connected)

Mostly a small application wich was mostly working in a network system not
over the web

2. Which client-side technologies were you using? (eg. Flash IDE/Flex
1.5/MTASC, etc.)

Flash with MTASC COmpilation

3. Which server-side technologies were you using? (eg. J2EE, PHP, .Net,
Python, CF, etc.)

We use coldfusionhas the client had all ready the server on site

4. Which remoting application were you using? (eg. OpenAMF, AMFPHP, CF,
etc.)

CF, but the vo’s where really painfull that’s why we are looking into
openAMF or python

5. Did your application use a socket connection or Flash
Communication/Media Server? Which one and how? How easy/difficult was it
to integrate? Notes/comments?

No,

6. Did your application use JavaScript communication? (eg. Flash/JS
integration kit, AFLAX, etc.) How easy/difficult was it to integrate?
Notes/comments?

Nope it was full flash

7. Were you using any Arp extensions? Which one(s)? Notes/comments?

No

8. Other notes, comments:

The arp use on this project was mostly on rapid RIA purpose witch worked
quite well and so i’m waiting ARP3...
*General Questions*

1. What do you love the most about Arp 2?

The simple side of ARP and lightweight framework, and the best part is that
you can implement it in flex/flash/openAMF/AMFPHP/Coldfusion

2. What do you hate the most about Arp 2?

That there’s nothing to manage external forms

3. What is the single most important feature/enhancement you would want
to see in Arp 3?

External forms and maybe more concrete applications has example.

Sometimes i think great this project can take ARP, but because i’m not shure
how i could implement it , i just let it pass and use my old stuff.

4. At a minimum, Arp 3 aims to support RIA development with the Flash
IDE, Flex 1.5, Flex 2, AS 2, MTASC, AS 3, J2EE/OpenAMF and PHP/AMFPHP.
Does this cover your needs? Have we missed anything?

I would like to see python and coldfusion in the list but that’s just
because we are trying to make one python system for remoting

I now cf isn’t good in managing vo’s but that’s certainly not arp’s fault..

5. Everything else: Other features, enhancements you'd like to see,
general thoughts, anything that we missed in the questions above...

I would love to test arp3 maybe you could put a svn directory with the code
so we coumd test some new features.

By the way aral hope everything ok after your crash.
And roll on this sound’s great revision

Hi everyone,

In the run up to Arp 3, I want to ask any of you who have used Arp in
your projects if you could spend a few moments to provide some feedback.
Your thoughts, comments, and feedback are very valuable and will help
shape Arp 3 and make sure that we don't miss important use cases and
support migration from Arp 2 to Arp 3 in as transparent a manner as
possible. Specifically, I've got about a dozen questions below, the
first eight of which I'd ideally love you to copy and answer for each of
your Arp projects separately.

I really appreciate your taking the time to answer these. Your input is
invaluable.

[Please note, I have sent this to the Arp list and the OSFlash list --
please only answer in one place and please respond to the list so others
may benefit from reading your experiences also.]

All the best,
Aral
