The Dec05 consumer audit by NPD/MediaMetrix should indeed get published 
Any Day Now... this week has the analyst conference and other news, and 
I suspect some coordination between the announcements. I don't know 
content yet, but I do know that there has been consistent happy surprise 
internally with the consumer adoption rates of the FP8 capabilities.

Search term "flash player version penetration" pulls up the 
version-specific differences in consumer viewing capabilities.

But for those stats, remember that they're just a snapshot of how 
regular members of online consumer focus have set up their viewing 
machines, and that your own particular audience may differ from these 
general consumer norms. These stats are more useful for seeing the rate 
of change within a given audience than they are for predicting the 
capabilities of any audience.
