Sorry, yes, Linux Players will go directly to the logic-enhanced Player 8.5, after this short window of the graphics-enhanced Player 8.0. http://weblogs.macromedia.com/emmy/archives/2005/12/why_isnt_there.cfm http://www.kaourantin.net/2005/12/flash-player-8-for-linux-update.html The Dec05 consumer audit by NPD/MediaMetrix should indeed get published Any Day Now... this week has the analyst conference and other news, and I suspect some coordination between the announcements. I don't know content yet, but I do know that there has been consistent happy surprise internally with the consumer adoption rates of the FP8 capabilities. Search term "flash player version penetration" pulls up the version-specific differences in consumer viewing capabilities. But for those stats, remember that they're just a snapshot of how regular members of online consumer focus have set up their viewing machines, and that your own particular audience may differ from these general consumer norms. These stats are more useful for seeing the rate of change within a given audience than they are for predicting the capabilities of any audience. jd -- John Dowdell . Adobe Developer Support .
