Apologies if this is off-topic. I've been running the flash 8 standalone player under linux using wine: surprisingly it just worked. (I copied it over from the windows machine where I installed the flash 8 demo.)
But when I right-click, choose settings, and try to increase the Local Storage from none, the setting doesn't save. It changes, but then I click close, view settings again and it is back to "none" again. LSO apps do not work. There is no "fixme" message from wine. Does anyone have it working? I'm guessing I either need to set some registry setting, or create a directory, but I've no idea where to start.
