Well, with XPATH object, debug stepping through is nigh on impossible. Also, when using large xml files (500 lines+) searching for nodes via attributes was quite noticable.
The XML object model for Actionscript 3 is looking pretty sweet tho. much more logical than the childNodes that currently exist.
